The long version:

A membership allows you to post and sell your fandom related handmade items in our marketplace. We’re a moderated site, so there’s a delay between when you submit your items for approval and when they appear on the site. The delay is generally less than 24 hours. This keeps our handmade site just that- handmade only.
Sales are processed using Stripe Connect, directly to your bank account. It’s just like renting a booth at a con- that never ends! Taxes are calculated based on the seller’s address or local Nexus (don’t get us started!). You are responsible for sending any taxes to their corresponding entities.
Your shop has a product limit based on membership you choose. You can change up what is in your shop at any time (it’s your shop!). Variations on an item don’t count as another item, as long as those variations are limited to items of fit or appearance, but not different items completely.
Ex: You post an item that’s pink. You can make it in blue or red, and have a bigger size for a different price. Those are acceptable variations. BUT, if you make three different TYPES of an item and post pictures of those as variations, this will violate our policy. Besides, those are harder for customers to find in searches.

Hobbyist
This option is FREE to use! Your shop holds 3 items!
This level is designed to help artists new to posting. It allows an artist to gather fans that follow them, and is a basic level without all the frills that are often intimidating to artists new to posting online. When you put an item on sale, your sale will be shared with your followers.
Maker-Mini
Adds your social media links to your profile, you can offer discount codes for clients, and increases your store size to 20 items.
You can now create commissions and be found in commissioned artist searches! You can set up a private sale with your new client, and accept a down payment to get the work started!

Crafter-preneur
50 Items in your shop!
Our event pages take on a new life as a special section is unlocked with information about the Artist Alley at each event- everything from table price to when the application process starts and more!
You can toggle that you are attending an event, and your profile will show up on that event’s page. We’re always working to drive more clients your way- online or at events!
You’ll have your own shop event calendar, too! Keep your adoring fans well informed where you’ll be next!
This level helps you bring traffic to your business’ website (outside of Artist’s Alley) by adding a link to your profile page. We’re here to help you sell- on our site or your own!

Creative Professional memberships are identical to Crafter-preneur, but your shop holds 100 items! If you need more space, please contact us directly. We’re here if you need to talk!

Available to all Artists with a paid membership:
When we’re headed to an Event, we often sponsor panels for our Artists to speak to other Artists and Guests. These are usually centered on improving our craft and our sales, but we’ll often go in for the panels that teach DIY to guests, as well! You’ll have the opportunity to pitch us on a panel and we’ll bring the advertising for it! Of course, your fellow Artist’s Alley Artists will hear about your panel, and we’ll get the word out on our Event Pages!
As you grow and we get to know you as a seller, you may be granted the ability to post instantly. Your shop will still be monitored periodically, but when you post an item, the item becomes live immediately. We respect and reward those demonstrating moral, ethical, and artistic integrity.
*Items usually post in under 24 hrs, but high posting times may cause delays.
