Youmacon is a celebration of Japanese animation, videogames, popular culture and costuming, and its influence on our own culture over the past few decades. Common themes throughout the event are Anime (Japanese animation), video games, Japanese-style artwork and comics, and the rising Internet culture influenced by all of the above. Youmacon brings a unique all-ages mix of interactive games, celebrity guest panels and live musical performances to downtown Detroit.
Founded in 2012 by Bob Jenkins and Michael Savene, the Akron Comicon is an annual event created to celebrate newspaper comics and comic books as an original American art form, and to promote comics as a viable entertainment medium by bringing creators, dealers and fans together for a weekend of fun and interaction designed for the entire family.
The Steel City Con is the exclusive comic con of the Monroeville Convention Center. It is one of the largest comic cons in the United States with over 100,000 square feet of convention space and filled with over 600 vendor and artist tables, and celebrity guests. At the Steel City Con you can meet TV and film celebrities along with experience celebrity Q & AÆ’??s, panels, celebrity photo ops, and the Artist Charity Quick Sketch. You can also take part in the Steel City ConÆ’??s cosplay, trivia contest and costume contests!
