Artist’s Alley is a website designed for the creative souls that bring us handmade items which celebrate our love of all things fan-dom and beyond!

An Artist’s Alley is traditionally an area in an event or convention (like a comic con or anime con) dedicated to local artists, allowing them to sell their handmade items and art to con-goers. In this spirit, Artist’s Alley creates a space for these artists to come together to offer the awesome range of creative and ingenious handmade items that one can only find in an Artist’s Alley!

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”%224_4%22″ _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”%22default%22″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” module_alignment=”center” min_height=”%221499.1px%22″ custom_margin=”||||false|%22″ custom_padding=”||||false|%22″ global_colors_info=”%22{}%22″][et_pb_column type=”%224_4%22″ _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”%22default%22″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”%22{}%22″ custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_image src=”https://artistsalley.net/demo/staging/8985/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/About_Us_Duo.png” title_text=”About_Us_Duo” align=”%22center%22″ align_tablet=”center” align_phone=”center” align_last_edited=”on|desktop” _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”%22default%22″ module_alignment=”%22center%22″ custom_margin=”||||false|false%22″ custom_padding=”||||false|false%22″ animation_style=”slide” animation_direction=”left” animation_duration=”500ms” animation_intensity_slide=”10%” global_colors_info=”%22{}%22″][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”19px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

As the founders of Artist’s Alley, we’re artists ourselves! We loved turning our skills in art and sewing into a hobby-hustle. We were always making this or that for a cosplay or festival, and we found ourselves selling everything from crafted bracelets to full period-specific outfits. But…..

Most sites charge to post, or take a piece of the commission, or both. Some required us to agree to use their specific payment processing, from which they took a profit, as well. When you’re making a bracelet that you want to sell for $5, that doesn’t leave much space for actual profit. So the choice is to charge more or just make less per item. A few years ago, one of the biggest sites for handmade items rewrote their meaning, allowing in many manufacturers. Who can compete with items created for pennies by underpaid workers? Many creative souls just simply stopped creating. The whole situation was breaking our artist hearts. So….

We put together Artist’s Alley to offer a space where artists can come together in a community and marketplace that fosters handmade fandom item sales exclusively.

We’re proud of what we’ve put together, and of the community of artists behind it!
